ANOKHI LIFE To Celebrate Its 20th Anniversary With A Virtual & In-Person Events Celebration To Mark The Diverse Success & Growth Journey Of The North American, South Asian Community
ANOKHI LIFE, North America’s longest running multimedia, multi-platform brand about South Asian pop culture, lifestyle, and entertainment is set to celebrate it’s 20th anniversary (#ANOKHI20) milestone by commemorating the diverse success and growth journey of the North American, South Asian community, over a two-part, 48-day set of festivities taking place from May 1st – June 17th, 2023.

#ANOKHI20 is being celebrated during Spring as May is South Asian Heritage Month, and the brand is aligning its celebrations accordingly to accomplish:
- Awareness Amplification of South Asian culture and success during the time when the community is being spotlighted in mainstream society in North America.

CHARITY PARTNERSHIP WITH CENTRE FOR ADDICTION & MENTAL HEALTH (CAMH)
With May being the Mental Health Awareness Month, ANOKHI is proud to support the Centre For Addiction & Mental Health (CAMH) during its two-part celebration via:
- Awareness Amplification to normalize mental health awareness among South Asians as part of our multi-tiered #ANOKHI20 activations.
- Donating proceeds from all ticket sales.
DID YOU KNOW: There are 2.6 million people of South Asian origin in Canada, representing seven percent of the population and the country’s largest racialized group. This population has a higher rate of anxiety and mood disorders, but is also 85% less likely to seek treatment due to many factors, including socioeconomic disparities, cultural differences and stigma (camh.ca).
The festivities have been broken down into two parts:

For the first time in North America, a collection of South Asian fashion designers will be showcased in one runway show, worn by personalities & celebrities of note in support of empowering mental health.

In honour of May’s Mental Health Awareness Month, the theme is normalizing mental health through meditation, keynote, panel & fireside chat with prominent personalities.
